THE STARES Since I've Been Lovin' You (Led Zeppelin) -
In the last century I did a fair bit of volunteer work with Cablenet, learning as much as I could about production and what went into the making of a television show. Being in the park today reminded me of a show I worked on in the nineties–sometimes as a Director, sometimes as a Switcher in the mobile production truck–called Music In The Park. It was a great way to spend the lunch hour, by the fountain in front of City Hall, people-watching and listening to, filming and broadcasting live music. We usually had two or three cameras and could easily switch angles and viewpoints, blending scenes seamlessly. Glorious! Alas, that is not so with only one camera but, still, what a pleasure to see and hear The Stares here today! When they launched into my fav Led Zeppelin song I had to do the best I could to capture for posterity. I love their version!
