Rocky Mountain Live is an independent, non-profit, volunteer-run, community media organization covering the music scene in Banff-Lake Louise, Canmore-Kananaskis, Jasper-Hinton & Kootenay Rockies regions of Alberta & British Columbia.

We exist to increase the exposure of live music in our vibrant communities that are flush with outdoor activities in our beautiful natural surroundings that, deservingly, take the spotlight. Our aim is to help locals & visitors easily stay up to date on live music opportunities to supplement their stays in the mountains & our musicians, festivals, venues & businesses to reach our ever transitioning audience of music lovers.

Our media footprint includes the Rocky Mountain Live website, a subscription e-newsletter, presence on key social media platforms & a future Rocky Mountain Live Podcast.

Business Ethos

Rocky Mountain Live is an online home for the music community within the Rocky Mountain regions to connect & grow together. We believe people support what they help build. This is only successful with participation from musicians, venues & resource businesses posting their events & profiles to the website & engaging with us consistently.

At it's heart, this is a free resource for musicians, venues, promoters & other businesses active in the music scene to network & gain exposure to their events & brand, directly targeted at the audience of music lovers. We want to expand the opportunities & reach of local musicians while growing the music culture for touring acts to participate in.

We have a lot of domestic & international tourism to get in front of. Currently, you need to search & follow every separate venue to find out what’s happening. This site will be a one-stop-shop for all music happenings throughout the Rockies to help artists get national & international exposure.
