Event Description
Hosted at the National Music Centre, SYNC brings together electronic music, visual media, creative technology, live performance and the people working across those disciplines.
The day begins with workshops, talks and shared knowledge before moving into an evening of live electronic performance and a late night official afterparty.
SYNC is produced by Oscill8 Collective, a Calgary based community of artists, educators, technologists and cultural contributors interested in the space where creative disciplines meet.
If your practice, work or curiosity intersects with sound, image or live electronic culture, there is a place for you here.
The shape of SYNC is starting to come into focus!
We begin at 11 AM with a soundbath before moving into speaker sessions and workshops from noon through 5 PM.
There is a technical break from 5 PM to 7 PM, followed by an industry and community mixer with music to reopen the night.
At 8 PM, the room shifts into live electronic art and live performance until 1 AM.
Then the official afterparty carries the night through to 4 AM at a second location.
There are different ways to experience SYNC, and you can spend the entire day exploring all the different aspects, activities, and community that make SYNC a staple for live music and art lovers.
