14× Australian Blues Award winner Lloyd Spiegel is a bluesman at his core, a guitarist by trade, a comedian by nature, and a showman at heart. His powerful vocals, jaw-dropping guitar prowess, humour and storytelling create a captivating performance that crosses genres and generations. Having spent 30 of his 40 years touring the globe, Spiegel developed a signature style that honours the traditions of the blues while creating a link in the chain of its evolution. One of Australia’s most celebrated artists and a respected trailblazer for modern blues, Spiegel was named one of Australian Guitar Magazine’s 50 Greatest Australian Guitarists of All Time and is the youngest-ever inductee into the Blues Music Victoria Hall of Fame.
With ten albums and a near non-stop touring schedule, Spiegel performs over one hundred shows a year on theatre stages and major festivals across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Highlights include the Montreal Jazz Festival (CAN), Kansas City Blues Festival (USA), Sapporo Blues Festival (Japan) and the Groningen Rhythm and Blues Festival (NL).
