Event Description

Jadé’s unique genre-bending sound is influenced by her heritage as a Nigerian-Canadian, love for all forms of dance music, and a desire to sonically showcase the cultural links and journeys throughout music over time. From soulful roots and rhythms in house, disco, r&b, and hip hop, to the faster paced global club music of today reflecting the world. Her Aim: a dance floor as a place of joy, connection, and self expression for all, tied together with a groove.
Her love for inclusivity within music spaces culminated in her co-founding of Back & Forth, a female powered collective aimed at creating more opportunities for women DJs through events and workshops. You can find Jadé on Fridays at her weekly residency Fresh Squeeze at Sweet Loretta Bar in Calgary.
