The James Vickers Band is an emerging force in the Canadian rock scene, fusing influences from Blues Rock, Pop Rock, and Alternative Rock to create a sound that's both timeless and fresh. Fronted by James Vickers, a 16-year-old Indigenous guitarist and vocalist of Gitxaala, Heiltsuk, and Haida Nations heritage, the band brings an authentic and soul-stirring approach to every track.
Since his stage debut at age 11, James has captivated audiences with his emotionally powerful performances, showcasing his virtuosity on guitar and his raw, expressive voice. After gaining recognition at the 2024 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, the band’s musical journey has reached new heights with the release of their debut full-length album, "Last Goodbye."
The album is a reflection of their evolution, with each song offering a glimpse into the band’s diverse influences and storytelling capabilities.
