Event Description
Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering: Everyone—welcome Jam at 6:45pm, Open Stage at 7:30pm, Feature Performers Élise LeBlanc with Tyler Lieb at 9:00pm; Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door
Élise LeBlanc (They/Them) is a Victoria-based singer-songwriter rooted in classic country, Appalachia, and western swing. Their songs explore queer desire, betrayal, hope, and nature lore. Expect gentle twang, and a rich expressive vibrato that nods to Patsy Cline but is unmistakably their own. For this special, intimate performance - Élise will be on acoustic guitar and joined by local bandmate Tyler Lieb on pedal steel.
Élise's most recent album The Fiddle & The Fire, produced by Leeroy Stagger, was named a Top 10 Best Country Record on Bandcamp and featured on Country Queer and CBC Radio. They've toured across North America from Vancouver Island to Nashville, appeared at major BC festivals, and completed their first UK tour in 2025.
