Event Description
Join Maitreyi Muralidharan (violin), David Dietz (cello), and Tong Wang (piano) for an evening of chamber music. The trio first began collaborating together when they co-founded Windwood Music Festival (WMF) in 2023. As the Windwood Trio, they performed at Kensington Place and Fondation Kin in Montreal during November 2023. In February 2024, the trio performed a fundraising concert for the charity In Concert for Cambodia and on the St. Peters Recital Series in Ottawa. They returned to Alberta for a series of concerts, galas, and community engagement events, including artsPlace.
🎻 Maitreyi Muralidharan - violin
Violinist and researcher Maitreyi Muralidharan performs internationally, co-leads Duo Perdendosi, and co-founded Windwood Music Festival, focusing on community engagement, injury recovery, and underrepresented voices in classical and contemporary music.
🎻 David Dietz - cello
Cellist David Dietz performs widely as a soloist and chamber musician, teaches at Lone Star College, and co-founded award-winning Trio Menil. He’s active with top ensembles in Houston and beyond.
🎹 Tong Wang - piano
Pianist and Canadian artist Tong Wang creates multimedia performances exploring identity and culture. She co-founded Windwood Music Festival and tours internationally, combining music, storytelling, and research to engage diverse communities.
