Event Description

Following a successful Art & Song fundraiser in 2019, over 20 local watercolour artists and 4 local musicians once again team up to support the Bow Valley Emergency Shelter. Small original matted watercolours will be on sale in the lobby from 1-2:30 for $35 each. The art show and sale is open to all and free to attend. Then head into the theatre from 3-6 pm to enjoy the musical talents of well known local musicians; Mike Petroff, Gord March, Emily O’Rourke and Caroline Whyte. Every dollar, from the sale of the paintings to the concert admission, is donated. The Bow Valley Emergency Shelter is dedicated to supporting those who are fleeing domestic and/or sexual violence. Operated by the YWCA Banff, services include safety planning, referrals, supportive counselling, access to food, clothing, transportation and a safe place to stay for adults (including gender-diverse folks) and their children. Buy some original art, enjoy some great music and help us help support the Bow Valley Emergency Shelter!
