The Attila Fias quartet is presenting an exciting jazz concert, full of rhythmic grooves and music from around the world, with special guest Susannah Adams singing some favourite jazz standards.
This performance will be a fun journey through the music of Horace Silver, Chick Corea and other jazz composers, with a focus on soulful, funky beats, plus Brazilian, Indian and Hungarian flavours, including originals and arrangements by Attila Fias
The band is a collection of fantastic musicians - Kelby MacNayr will provide the rhythmic backdrops on drums, Peter Dowse will lay down the big groovy bass foundations, Attila will be the glue that holds it all together on piano and synthesizer, Ryan Oliver will glide on top of it all on sax and flute and Susannah Adams will captivate with her heartfelt, jazzy vocals.

Attila Fias, a Hungarian-born, Toronto-raised platinum-selling pianist and composer who makes his home in Victoria BC, is renowned for seamlessly blending various genres of music with jazz. Recognized for his spectacular and pyrotechnic playing, critics also praise him as a lyrical piano interpreter breathing new life into others' works. He has performed on prestigious stages worldwide and collaborated with numerous internationally acclaimed musicians.
