VANCAMP crafts introspective, energetic, and earnest indie folk. The project began in 2021, when singer/songwriter Calvin Bakelaar began channeling his emotions into songs that blend folk storytelling with the edge of indie rock. Since then, VANCAMP has grown into something bigger—fun, experimental, and full of life. VANCAMP was named the Peterborough Folk Festival Emerging Artist of the Year in 2024, and you can stream the music anywhere or catch a show to experience it live.
