It’s going to be a full day of rocking down the house with LIMBLIFTER, THE RUMOURS, local heroes DOUBTING PARIS and DS SUTTON when Rock.It Boy Entertainment presents two shows in one day at City Limits Cabaret in Abbotsford. 1 p.m. will be All Ages and at 8 p.m. the licensed show.
Three albums into their career and LIMBLIFTER got deeper and broader in sound with the addition of bass goddess Meegee Bradfield (Salteens and Sparrows) and legendary drummer Pat Steward (Bryan Adams, The Odds) for the latest album I/O released last year. LIMBLIFTER originated as a side project for the brothers Kurt and Ryan Dahle from the extremely successful Age of Electric, and has matured into a unique blend of art, rock and sonic mayhem.
Lou Rumour, Just Janelle, Melissa Starr and the pet Cyclops Steve Senyk are, together, THE RUMOURS and they love to entertain. They have everything from Doo Wop vocals to raunchy guitars all dished up in tattoo and lace and a great album called The Mighty can Fall. Local artistes DOUBTING PARIS approach music like photographers, splitting the atom of time, seeing things that others don’t, catching moments in time that transport the listener to forgotten doors. DS SUTTON is another West coast act on the deeper side of pop, with excellent melodies and song-writing on a bed of solid rock that tends to avalanche during live shows.
Rock.It Boy Entertainment presents LIMBLIFTER plus THE RUMOURS and special guests DOUBTING PARIS and DS SUTTON twice in a row on Saturday, June 4th at the City Limits Cabaret, 33720 South Fraser Way in Abbotsford (phone 604-864-9324). The All Ages Sow is a 1 p.m. and the fully licensed evening show is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 at the door
