Our new DJs in a Box series returns to the Sunset Room for another joyride of electro, dubstep, glitch-hop, breaks, and booty shakes! Come down for a night packed with talent, as DJs IN A BOX continues to explode onto the nightlife circuit, with their wheels spinning fast. You won't want to have missed this one. Joseph has been producing on and off since he was 14. He started djing in Sept of 2010 and was quickly picked up by Djs In A Box. Working on numerous programs and mediums to produce his phat beats, he has leaned towards FL Studio and CD J/Traktor S4 as his favorites. Also involved in the Sunset Room, working there almost every weekend bringing a fun new vibe to the place. Look for him in upcoming partys, clubs and raves!

Neil Davis aka Neo¹ or Totally, is a rare breed of DJ that has been rockin out speed garage since the Summer of 1999. Within the past few years Neo has been growing his potential producing his own tracks. 2010 presented Neo with the opportunity for his premier release "Destination EP" a 5 track release on Atomic Zoo Recordings (Calgary). 2011 is already starting to show alot of promise with one remix released on Backzide Records (San Francisco) in March and 3 remixes for Atomic Zoo released in April & May. Now with 5 originals and 2 remixes slated for release in July-Aug on Backzide Records, Bass Hound Records (Seattle) and Breakz R Boss (Calgary) there seems to be no end in sight for this up and coming producer. Not only does Neo specialize in warping basslines, he is also fond to breaks, garage, 2-step, funky house, 4x4, bassline house, dnb and dubstep. Neo is also one half of "Funk'n Ruff", the other half being none other thanhis best friend Brent 'd-Set' Kral. Together they produce mostly speed garage, bassline house and bassline breaks. Now with 12 years of bassline knowledge behind him, come out and witness Neo with his extreme energy and stage presence animating dancefloors all across Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, the Okanagan and hopefully this year the boundaries will be pushed to a new level! He's sure to make you move your body all night long to his bass heavy sets tuned to the funky sounds of house, 2-step, breaks and garage and the dirty whompy bassline driven beats of speed garage, bassline and 4x4 with the occasional added grit of dubstep and dnb.

Born in Toronto, Cale "Gumbootz" Robichaud, moved to the west coast at the young age of 11. Growing up, he had a major love for music, and knew that one day he would be on a stage rocking out! But it wasn’t until a friend picked up a couple turntables that he realized his true calling; to rock the masses as a DJ. Over a decade has passed and Gumbootz has since built up a reputation as a hard hitting DJ, opening for world class talent such as The Freestylers, The Breakfasters, Donald Glaude, Bryx, Myagi, Smalltown Dj's and Wood & Soo. He has also hosted a weekly internet radio show on "Icestation.net" and held a weekly residency at Karma Nightclub. Gumbootz made heads explode at the infamous 'Soundwave' music festival, the 'Victoria Electronic Music Festival (VEMF)', Jump Ship, and countless other raves and parties up and down Vancouver Island. Gumbootz has a lot of experience under his belt and what we've seen so far is only the beginning! Recently Gumbootz has gotten into the music production side of things along side good friend Dj Generic, who has been teaching Gumbootz the ins and outs of music production. Gumbootz has been working hard to be able to take this into his live sets as well, to create a fusion of DJ set and live PA by linking Ableton, Traktor Scratch and NI's Maschine. Gumbootz' energy, charisma, and ability to rock the crowd, makes even the most stubborn of party goers hit the dance floor. DJ Gumbootz is definitely not one to miss.

Kycker, aka Matt Cownden, started getting serious into music when he was 14 with musical theory, choir, and theatre in high school. Having learned the basics on paper, making the transition to digital music took only a little bit of homework and lots of practise. starting on a vci-300 through Serato, he quickly became flexible and sunk his fingers into Traktor, CDJs, and even the old wax. His heavy blend of hip-hop infused bass music makes any crowd jump up and down! His first shows were house parties and Renegades, but within his first 8 months he was playing at outdoor raves, sunset room, metropolis, and anywhere else you could plug in an extension cord. With mixes up and originals on the way, youre going to hear alot more from this up-and-comer. STAY TUNED!
