Winners of the Gramophone Chamber Music Award in 2002 and 2005 for their recordings of the Beethoven quartets, the Takács gained more accolades in March 2006 when they won the 2006 Classical Brit Award and the B.B.C Disc of the Year Award for their recording of the late Beethoven quartets.
