THOR is an enduring icon of glam rock/metal and one of the true originators of rock theatre. His enviable career got off the ground with an appearance on the Merv Griffin Show and he's maintained a steady pace ever since, selling hundreds of thousands of records. Starting out in Vancouver, THOR first made waves in the bodybuilding world, becoming Mr. Canada and Mr. USA, always using heavy music as an intensive training tool. He has become a movie actor and producer, turning out collectible cult classics like "Rock & Roll Nightmare", "Zombie Nightmare", "Graveyard" and others. Most recently, THOR appeared in the USA Network movie "Murder At The Presidio" and stars in "The Intercessor" (both are available on DVD), and appeared in the Lifetime Network movie, "A Family Lost" to rave reviews. Long a champion of environmental causes, Thor is proud to be associated with Smog Veil Records, a label which has embraced an all-Green, environmentally friendly office HQ. The UNKNOWN SOLDIERS come amazingly close to replicating the music of THE DOORS note for note while capturing their raw energy through each band member's interpretation, combining to deliver a groovy reproduction of a live Doors show that keeps audiences in a head-bobbing, toe-tapping trance. Although it is hard to replicate the eccentric unpredictability that was Jim Morrison, their singer's Morrisonesque look, vibe and baritone voice combine with swirling organs and deft musicianship to captivate and transcend time and place, allowing audiences to be transported back in time to experience a taste of live shows that are now a part of rock mythology. http://www.theunknownsoldiers.net
VANCOUGAR - This hooky all-female pop-punk quartet offers well-written gems that would make the Go-Gos jealous. Naughty and nice, Vancougar's coy confidence combined with their punky vintage synth sounds, slick guitar riffs and anthemic lyrics ignite into contagious party-time garage pop sound described as an "energetic heady brew of keyboard-soaked rave-ups, gritty pop and swaying rock". Their live show is a "rollercoaster of straight-out rockers and high-school swooners" with "plenty of nostalgic hooks perfect for sock-hopping or spotlight-dancing."
