With a population of 18, this
District kicks up a storm of funk
and R&B when they crowd onto
the bandstand. Comprised mostly
of young musicians from the West
Shore and led by teacher Glenn
Whitney, the District of Soul does
Motown to the max, thanks to a
big horn section and some
serious skills. From “Chain of
Fools” to “Midnight Hour,” they
take soul classics and blast fresh
energy and life into them.
