Digital Hobo Prepares for Third Studio Album ‘Climate Stories’, Blending Roots-Americana, Folk, and Reggae with Important Social Themes.
Canmore, AB — Singer-songwriter Scott Diehl, known on stage as the DigitalHobo, announces the release of his third studio album ‘Climate Stories’, available digitally and physically on May 16, 2025. Produced by Ryland Moranz and featuring an all-star lineup of Canadian musicians, ‘Climate Stories’ continues Diehl’s unique approach, creating music that bridges personal storytelling with relevant global messages.
Following 2021’s 21st Century Ballads and 2023’s Power of Compassion, this new project shares the lived experiences of climate scientists, refugees, and activists through collaborative and collective inspiration, leading to meaningful songwriting from the ‘Hobo’s pen. Steeped in roots, folk, and reggae tradition, the album offers instrumentation that elevates its’ message without losing the immense depth of song and melody.
Preceded by the singles “War on Climate” and “Great Granddaughter,” the album is steadily gaining praise from fellow industry vets: “Digital Hobo unveils powerful protest songs laden with hope and vision,” says Mallory Chipman. “It’s a genre-bending, hook-filled collection that compels both reflection and action.
”To celebrate the release, a live launch event will be held at the historic Banff Springs Hotel on May 31, 2025. More information on this special evening can be found here.
