Sabrina Guzman Skotnitsky
Sabrina Guzman Skotnitsky (she/her) is a climate justice advocate, artist and researcher residing on the ancestral and unceded territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. She is the Founder of Creating Climate Resilience, an initiative aimed at increasing people's emotional resilience to climate change through knowledge mobilization, community-building and arts-based climate emotions workshops. She has been part of the climate movement since she was 15 years old and has worked and volunteered for environmental and social justice causes from coast to coast. Sabrina holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria and is trained in facilitation, leadership development and solutions-focused coaching. She is a self-taught artist, primarily in abstract painting and mixed media, the majority of which explores environmental and mental health themes.
