Mari Rosehill is an indie/folk singer-songwriter with shades of alternative and rock, often likened to a young Joni Mitchell. Known for her wide vocal range and piercingly honest lyricism, she crafts songs rooted in mental health, sobriety, and personal growth—tempered with whimsy and poetic nuance. Her 2024 debut LP Perception of a Self, self-produced from home with support from Canmore’s Emerging Artist Bursary, was launched at artsPlace in Canmore. Mari has shared stages with Irish Mythen, James Keelaghan, Danny Michel, and Ndidi O, and collaborated in workshop shows with Kaeley Jade, Wyatt C. Louis, Sammy Volkov, Brianna Lizotte, and Jed and the Valentine. She’s been mentored by Rhea March—who welcomed her to the Edmonton Folk Fest stage—and Sue Panning, former artistic director of the Canmore Folk Fest.
